Your initial appointment will consist of a diagnostic exam.

Dr.Arpei-McHugh will review with you your past and current medical history, dental history, dental care, and dental concerns.  It is very important that this information is gathered accurately, as it has significant effects on your dental health and dental treatment.

If time is allotted, or if you are experiencing any type of dental emergency or pain, treatment will be performed at that same visit.

You may be asked to schedule a second visit for a dental cleaning.  But many times this can be done at the initial visit, depending on current x-rays or your dental treatment needs.

We ask that you bring with you, or have sent to us, any past or current dental x-rays to review.

X-rays are prescribed on a case by case basis, and do not always need to be taken at every check up or exam.  We will discuss your needs and concerns at your visit.  However, x-rays are needed as a standard of care to evaluate at your first exam.  Please call us for any questions.

A treatment plan will be presented to you, including your dental concerns and recommendations, including options with regards to time, finances, and need.

Additional appointments can then be scheduled, or referred as needed.

If you have any questions or concerns at anytime, we ask that you contact our office at: 518-871-1520

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the first visit. At each subsequent treatment visit, the patient must be accompanied by an adult 18yr or older with previous written and verbal parent/legal guardian permission.  We must be able to contact the parent/legal guardian during each visit directly.
